Make Up Storage – Part 1

Hey Hey my little Beauty Munchkins!

As I’ve finally settled into my new apartment and done all my sorting and decorating I thought I’d show you how I stored and organized my makeup. If I would do all of it in one post. It would be suuuuper long so for today I’m only gonna show you my first drawer.

First I’ll tell you a little bit about my self-made vanity.
I bought the famous ALEX drawer cabinet and two table bases from IKEA. In the little part in IKEA where they keep left-over’s and damaged products, I found this plain white board and it is exactly what I imagined. It is not as narrow as the panels you can find on completed vanities but also not as deep as on a normal study desk.
I just screwed the bases to the table and made ALEX work as the right foot of the desk.
I found the big mirror with a black twirled frame at a hardware store.

I’m really happy with the end result! It has enough space for my perfumes and jewelry and I still can put the stuff I’m using while I’m doing my makeup on it.

The first drawer holds mainly my face products: moisturizer, primer, foundation, concealer, eye brow stuff, blush, bronzer, contour products and mascaras.
It is stored in a container with compartments that I also got from IKEA.

My favorite section in this drawer is definitely the one with all my mascaras in it.
And yes I do use all of them on a regular basis. But of course I have my favorites. Covergirl – Clump Crusher and Catrice – Better Than False Lashes are on top of my list, followed by MAC – Haute & Naughty Lash and Clinique – High Impact Mascara.

How do you store your makeup?
Have you got a favorite mascara that is not in my collection and that I should definitely try?
Let me know down below :)

A new post will be up soon! Until then..
.. stay tuned and have a fantastic day (or night)

hugs
Trish :)

  1. Wished I had that much space in our new bedroom, I bought a small vanity from Amazon and will have to figure out a new way to store my makeup.

And nice mascara collection! My favorites are: the classic DiorShow (expensive, but the most volumizing mascara I have ever used), L'Oreal Voluminous, Maybelline Lash Stiletto as well as Full&Soft, Tarte Lights Camera Lashes
