Essence - Bloom Me Up! Tools

Hey Hey my little Beauty Munchkins!

With standing ovations and a round of applause I want to show you the Essence Bloom Me Up! Tools Limited Edition. Lovely people of Essence you have outdone yourself with this collection.

When I first found out about this Limited Edition I just knew I had to have it, but to be honest I didn’t get my hopes up high, because lately my closest drugstores either don’t get LEs at all or I’m just too late.
This time, I was lucky enough to find the collection still sitting there and, well I took pretty much all of the brushes :D

Before I get into the details of the brushes let’s just take a moment and embrace the cutest design ever. A big “BRAVO” to the design people at Essence who created these pastel flourish beauties.

Let’s start with the egg-shaped make-up sponge. I have not tried this one yet, but you all know how much I love my Ebelin Precision Make Up Egg so there can’t be much wrong with that.

Now we move on to the face brushes.
The first one on top is called Chaising Lacy Blush Brush. It is in no way inferior to the Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki. It is a bit smaller in size but it is super soft and dense and I will definitely use this one for applying foundation. I’m in love with this one already.
The Lovely Lavender Big Powder Brush is right in the middle of this amazing trio. I have never felt a brush that soft! It is great in applying powder all over your face. It blends it out evenly and it feels like heaven on your skin.
On the bottom of this picture you can see the Chaising Lacy Concealer Sponge and I have never seen anything like this before. It is like a flat top angled brush but without bristles. Instead you find the sponge like texture on it that you have in the egg-shaped make-up sponge. I still like applying concealer with my fingers best, but it is perfect for blending it out.

From the three smaller brushes in this collection I only got two. I didn’t take the Blooming Tender Duo Eyebrow Styler because I already got enough spoolies and the angled side is just a bit too thick for my taste.
I did however get the Blow My Mint Eyeshadow Brush Big (on top) and the Blooming Tender Eyeshadow Brush Small.
Both are again super soft and dense and even though they are more on the flatter side you can blend your eyeshadow really well with them.

Last but definitely NOT least, I got the Ready To Bloom Brush Bag. Not only makes it my purple heart skip a beat, also the organizational freak in my loves it.
It is super gorgeous with its floral print on it and the fine silky lavender ribbon. I also love that it has two flaps to protect the bristles while traveling and it is perfect if you only go away for a weekend or so to hold your essential brushes.

All in all I think this is my absolute favorite Limited Edition Essence ever came out with. And I can’t think of any other brand that can compete with that. Not only because of the design and how much thought the developers put into it, also because it is the best value for money you can get. The Big Powder Brush is the most expensive one out of this collection and you can get it for ONLY €2,99. What more can you say about that?

WELL DONE Essence. I hope you bring out more collections like this in the future!

Have you been able to get this Limited Edition in your hands already?
If so, let me know in the comments down below if you love it as much as I do.

A new post will be up soon! Until then..
.. stay tuned and have a fantastic day (or night)

hugs
Trish :)

  1. Great review - I was thinking to try them out, but was not sure if they are worth buying. I use Ebelin brushes and I am quite happy with them (although I have my eye on some of the Real Techniques brushes). :)

    1. Thank You :)
I have Ebelin brushes too and I really like them, but the Essence ones are sooo much softer! If you are still able to get them, you have to try them out! They are really worth it! :)
Uhh yes, Real Techniques brushes are on my shopping list too! I've heard a lot of good things about them :)
