my personal overseas shopper :D

Hey Hey my little Beauty Munchkins!

So as of this week - I’M BACK :D

And I swear it is just a funny incident that this “official come back” post is also on the 24th ..exactly two month after my last post and one month after my apology. YAY for happy coincidences.

Before I dive straight into this week’s topic, I have to make a little announcement for my lovely followers (if there still are any?! – Hello, are you there?!).
I will definitely decrease my amount of posts per week. Before, I tried to do a Manicure Monday, a Music Friday and a random post on Wednesday but because of my busy job and University I’m not able to do as much anymore, so there will be one post per week. It could be either one of them and they still will be on their original week day.

And now *drumrollplease* the official comeback-post: an overseas shopping spree :D

My best friend Peter was visiting his sister Andrea, yes it’s the same Andrea I visited this February, for the last two weeks. And of course I sent a little shopping list, since I can’t get some of my favorites here.

So when he came back last week and gave me this big Target bag (which, I am almost as happy about as for the stuff inside #targetfreak) I squealed and maybe jumped a little :D

First thing that was in there was my Batiste Dry Shampoo in floral&flirty blush.
I heard so many good things about it that I simply had to try it. So she found one at Marshalls for $5,99. I’ve tried it a couple of times and I love it already. What I love about it is that, usually when I use dry shampoo, it works for the first couple of hours but at the end f the day, my hair starts to look greasy and gross, but with this wonderthing it stills looks fresh even after 10-12 hours.

Next up: Ardell Glamour Wispies.
I simply love them. I bought a pair when I was in San Diego this February, but I don’t know where I left them, because they never made their way back to Austria with me :(
So when I heard Peter would go there, I knew they have to be on my wish list. You will definitely see them in one of my eye makeup looks.

If you followed my blog for a little bit, you know what can’t be missing in this list: Covergirl Clump Crusher – 800 very black. I think it is the best mascara ever. I wouldn’t want to live without it. That’s why I got two back-ups ;)

Another thing I really needed, especially when making pictures for my blog are redness relief eye drops, because mine go red really fast.
This is another brand than I had last time and I have to say they are not as radical as the other ones, but they leave my eyes looking more natural than just blank white. We’ll see how it turns out in the pictures ;)

So this was it for my small wish list, just essentials – no crazy stuff like last time :D
But as you may have noticed in the picture, there are a couple of things I didn’t mention yet.
A couple of days before Peter left SD, Andrea wrote me if I already have MAC – Patina – no, I don’t. She has it twice, because she forgot she already had one at home (yes, she is a freak like me..haha). So she was kind enough to give her spare one to me! Thank you :)

So as I was opening my bag last week, I was expecting all of this stuff, but I wasn’t expecting there to be three more things. Lovely, nice, beautiful and amazing Andrea knows me way too good so the first thing I saw was Benefits – They’re REAL mascara. Since I’m a sucker for great mascara and lashes I got super excited, because of course I followed the whole hype around it online. Unfortunately I got very disappointed. It is way too wet for my taste. And yes, it lengthens like crazy, but it clumps so badly. I tried it a couple of times now, but I think I will let it dry for a bit and see how it works then. I will of course give you an update on it.

I am very excited to try the next thing. I already mentioned that I’m really into false lashes and mascara and everything that enhances my lashes. So I was suuuper happy when I saw the tarte prime – multiplEYE. I tried a lot of products that are supposed to lengthen and strengthen your lashes, but none of them really worked for me. So I’m really looking forward to trying this and I’m full of hope that it will actually work, since they can’t sell shitty product for $65,-. Well, yes they can, but let’s just not think about that :D

Last but definitely not least in my little surprise bag, was Benefits – Watt’s Up. Normally I’m not tat into highlighter. But this pen has such a nice glowy radiant effect that I’m really looking forward to trying and using it this summer.

Wowy .. that was a rather long post. I hope it wasn’t too long ;)

A new post will be up soon! Until then..
.. stay tuned and have a fantastic day (or night)

hugs
Trish :)

  1. I also had a sample of the Benefit mascara before and didn't love it. But then again I'm really really picky with mascaras. And I promise I will try the CG Clump Crusher myself sooner or later (I also gave one to Astrid).

And even though I don't wear the Tarte Primer often (my Latisse-Lashes are big enough lol), I do like it. I've tried a few lash primers before, and this one seems to be one of the best. It gives your lashes a bit of thickness, and the white color covers up really easily with mascara. Let me know how/if you like it!

    1. Yes!! You should definitely try CG! You will love it. I also had mixed feelings about it before, mainly because I usually don't like this kind of brush..but it is amazing!

Yes, I will try it. And if it doesn't work I will also buy this Latisse stuff, because the length of your lashes is driving my crazy!! :D
