Hey Hey my little Beauty Munchkins!
So for almost 2 years now I've been swearing on my Sigma brushes and even though I still could not live without them I've found another little helper that does an AMAZING job in applying foundation :)
I'm always down for trying new things, but I'm not the kind of person splurging on something I don't completely trust. Especially when it is an egg-shaped sponge for $20,-. Yes, I'm talking about the Beauty Blender. And although I think it is ridiculousy overpriced, it was always in the back of my head.
So as I was in my nearest drugstore a couple of weeks ago I saw this dupe for the Beauty Blender from the drugstores own brand Ebelin called Präzisions Make Up Ei (eng: Precision Make Up Egg) for only €2,45. This was the perfect opportunity for me to try this new trend and not waste a lot of money.
It says in the description that it is best used wet, because it stops the fabric from soaking up too much product. Plus it gets bigger when it's wet, which is also good for me because this little sponge is way too small for my big head :D
So you rinse it under water and then press it and make sure there is no water coming out of it anymore, dap it in your foundation and bounce the product evenly on your face. With the tapered side you can easily get to parts like the sides of your nose and under your eyes.
And all to my concerns that it will look caky it gives the most natural look I have ever seen in any foundation applying tool I have used so far.
The only downside for me is, that it still soakes up more product than a brush does, but that is one thing I can live with considering the price and the finished result.
All in all I would definitely recommend this to my friends and followers, in fact I already bought one for my roommate :D
Do you own the Beauty Blender or any product similar to it?
How do you like it and would you prefer it over a regular foundation brush?
