Hey Hey my little Beauty Munchkins!
When summer comes around, I like to just get out of the house and do stuff. Go to a park, lie at the pool or go for a coffee in the sun with my friends. And when the sun is hot and burning down, we all know that mascara starts to run (no, I don’t like to wear waterproof ones) and all the makeup you put on just seems to disappear. So what I like to do is wear nothing but some BB Cream with SPF to even out my skin tone and protect my skin – no mascara, eye shadow, blush or brow powder. To still enhance and define my face a bit I dye my lashes and brows, because I’m a natural blond and they are rather light.
For that I use Berrywell Eyebrow and Eyelash Dye – 1 Black and Berrywell Special Developer 3%.
First I make sure that my lashes and brows are totally clean. Then brush through them with a spooly.
I take the dye and the developer and mix them as prescribed in the directions.
I protect my under eye area with a thick cream. You can use whatever cream you like, I used MY Face Night Cream. The cream helps to stick Berrywell Protecting Papers on the skin under your eyes. These prevent the color from staining your skin.
After the protecting papers are set in place I take the little white stick that came with the dye and apply the color onto my lashes. Then I comb through them with the spooly to make sure every lash is covered with the color. I let this set for 15 minutes.
You have to be really careful when you apply the dye, because it can easily get in your eye and believe me when I say: “It burns like hell!”
When the time is up, I remove the protecting papers and wipe away what’s left of the color with a wet cotton pad.
For the eye brows I apply a thick layer of the cream above and below, to protect my skin from staining. Then I apply the dye with the spooly. After letting it set for just 5 minutes I wipe everything away with a wet cotton pad.

And I’m finally done :D
As you can see in the pictures down below, darker lashes and brows define my face and give it a little more dimension. I really love this. I know there are more simple ways to dye your lashes and brows yourself out there, but I bought this and until it’s empty – I’m gonna use it. :)

I never thought about putting lotion around my brows, nice trick! Unfortunately, for me the lash dye lasts maybe 5days and the brows for a bit over a week. And I use the same dye, just black for my lashes and ash brown for the brows.
ReplyDeleteI got my lashes tinted at a salon once and they got more dye in my eyes then I ever did by myself!!!
The dye lasts about two weeks on my lashes and brows. And normally I don't use black for my brows, but since I have all black hair now I just thought I'll try if it works.
DeleteI also got my lashes dyed once at a salon and the lady said I don't have to take off my mascara, she just applied it right on top..I found this really weird and it didn't last long a all.
