LOVE - Catrice

Hey Hey my little Beauty Munchkins!

As you may have noticed, if you follow my blog regularly, there is one brand that stands out the most. One I absolutely couldn’t live without: Catrice
It has the best value-for-money ratio I’ve ever seen and the cutest names for their products. So first of all a big THANK YOU to all the people at Catrice for making me so damn happy :D
So I thought I’d show you my most favorite products of this brand (so far..I bet there will be a lot more coming).

Infinite Matt Up To 18h Make Up – 010 Light Beige
This foundation matches my skin tone perfectly. Unfortunately I can only wear it in summer, since it is too dark for my very fair skin in winter. It covers pretty well and it has a good lasting power (definitely not 18 hours, but honesty who wears make up that long?!) Another thing that made me love this foundation so much is the smell! I can’t really describe it, but it smells fresh and creamy – perfect for summer. So when I found out that Catrice wouldn’t re-launch this product in their new collection, I freaked out a little and then went to my nearest drugstore and bought a couple of back-ups. That’s how much I love it :D

Camouflage Cream – 010 Ivory
THE BEST CONCEALER EVER! I know some might argue about that with me, but I think it is even better than most high-end products like Make Up Forever – Full Cover Concealer. It has an amazing coverage and matches my skin tone perfectly – and by that I mean if I apply only the concealer without any foundation you can’t see it! So please can there be a foundation in this exact color, tone, nuance and shade?!

Limited Edition “Geometrix” – Transluscent Mattifying Powder
It mattifies perfectly, doesn’t change the color of your foundation and my forehead and nose don’t get oily as fast as they usually do. What more can you ask for in a mattifying powder?! The only downside: I have to really dig into the product to get some on my brush – but I can definitely live with that ;) too bad this is just limited edition.

Prime And Fine – Eyeshadow Base
Believe me when I say: “I’ve tried a lot of eye shadow bases” and this is by far the best! There is one eye shadow in my collection I always had a problem with creasing: MAC – Sketch. No matter what I did, if I applied a base first, a primer or nothing. It always creased on me. Even Urban Decay – Primer Potion didn’t help a bit. So what I do, when I buy a new eye shadow base, is try it with Sketch. This way I know if it’s any better than the ones I already have. That’s what I did with this one too and: nothing! No creasing, no fading! Also it is neither sheer nor too opaque – love!

The Giant – Extreme Volume Mascara
I have quite long lashes, so what I need in a mascara is to give me volume. This does a perfect job. It also gives a cat-eye-like look to my lashes, because of the shape of the wand. The only downside is that it smudges rather quickly on me.

Defining Blush – 060 Rosewood Forest
Really good pigmentation. Makes my face look bright and alive. What more can I ask for in a blush?

Eye Brow Set
I just love this eye brow set. With the two different colors you can make different “looks” for your eye brows depending on what kind of eye makeup you wear that day. Also is the little hidden drawer filled with a little spooly, brush and tweezers perfect for me,because I always forget to pack my tweezers when I'm traveling.

Absolut Eye Colour – 280 Heidi Plum
I have to admit: this is the only eye shadow I own from Catrice. This is not because I don’t like them, but because I have enough different colors and I try not to go eye-shadow-shopping. But with my love for purples I just couldn’t resist buying this one. It is a dark grey-purple. Perfect for purple smoky eyes.

Ultimate Lip Glow – Lip Color Intensifier
By now, you might know that I don’t wear lip products. And to be honest, I don’t even know why I don’t. I tried it a couple of times and it doesn’t look that bad, but somehow I just don’t feel comfortable with something too colorful on my lips. So I was very happy when I found this! It enhances the color of your lips, but doesn’t really add color. It just makes your natural lip color a bit brighter. The only downside of this product, and that’s why I have a love-hate-relationship with it, is that it is suuuuper dry. I can NOT use it without a balm.

Nailpolishes
I think I probably own every single color of nail polish Catrice ever released. They have awesome lasting powers, they go on really smooth, they don’t chip, they are super glossy, they last a very long time in the bottle, the new, thicker brush makes it super easy to apply, …as you can see, I could go on raving about them for ages. Just go buy one yourself and you will see why I’m so in love ;)
So because I clearly couldn’t show you every single one of them, I picked out some of my favorites.

Limited Edition “spectaculART” – Gold Leaf Topcoat
Limited Edition “Big City Life” – C01 Paris

I think I used the word “love” rather often in this post – but I just can’t help it. If you have a drugstore nearby that sells Catrice, please do yourself a favor and go try out some of their stuff. I hope you love it as much as I do!

A new post will be up soon! Until then..
.. stay tuned and have a fantastic day (or night)

hugs
Trish :)
