Hey Hey my little Beauty Munchkins!
On my second day of “What I bought myself for Christmas” I wanted to show you the golden Glossybox.
As you may know, I had a subscription to Glossybox last year. You can see all the products I loved from it here.
Now as I heard of this special Christmas Edition I figured it just had to be good and I bought it. And I was right: I LOVE THIS BOX.
First of all: the packaging is adorable! I’m totally in to gold and black anyway, as you may have seen in my Black&Gold Manicure Monday, so this was just perfect for me. I love that even the inside it black and gold – I adore these kinds of details.
Next you see, when opening the box, is the Glossy Magazine and a little pamphlet that shows you all the stuff that is in your box. I personally don’t like to ruin my surprise, so I never look at it before I know what’s inside.
And then you open the ribbon, unfold the wrapping paper and see this amazing-ness inside:
The first thing I saw, was of course the Butter London Nail Polish in Cuppa.
It is a beautiful everyday beige shade that is supposed to remind of black tea with milk and I think it really does :D
I’m suuuuuper excited to try this brand, because I would NEVER buy it for myself, because let’s face it: it is just too expensive for me.
The second thing I just gravitated to, was THE Mascara from Serious Skin Care.
I have to say I never heard of this brand, but I love the size and shape of the wand. I have only tried it once, so I can’t give you a full review. So far I like it a lot – it lengthens and doesn’t clump. The only downside is the smell. I don’t know what it is and once it is on your lashes it is gone, but it reeks horribly.
Next up is a brown eye shadow from EuPhidra. Which again is a brand I never heard of before.
You can’t do nothing wrong with a brown eye shadow. It has tiny sparkles in it and is perfect for putting all over the lid if you want to make a brown smoky eye ;)
Now this is my least favorite product. Not because it is not good, but only because I have my hair routine down to every little step and I don’t want to change it.
It is the Philip B. – African Shea Butter Gentle & Conditioning Shampoo. I already gave it to my mommy and she loves it very much. And I like the smell a lot.
It seems to be the year of perfumes :D
Not only did I get two perfumes from my relatives, but there was one in the Glossybox too.
It is something I have never seen before. The Dream 42 – A! Absolute! Solid Perfume.
The consistency is kind of like the one from a solid deodorant.
It has a fresh, flowery, fruity smell (can you see that I’m bad at describing scents?) and I really look forward to trying it in spring and summer. Right now I’m more on the heavier smell side.
Last but definitely not least is the Water-Based Pure Luminizer from So Susan.
It is suuuuper pigmented, so make sure you only use a small amount. But this rosy glittery base would look amazing under your foundation for a glowy dewy look.
All in all, I really love this box. I will not go back to my subscription but I will definitely purchase all the special boxes, because they seem to be really good. :)
Do you have the golden box or even the monthly subscription?
What do you think of it?
